A bandwaagon appeal approach tries to convince you that everyone wants tis product or service and you should too. “Three out of four physcians recommend this product.”

When advertisement tell you that one brand is best, it is brand loyalty appeal. “This product is the original one that has been around for 50 years.”
In false image appeal, you are encouraged to see yourself in a certain way if you use a product. The image is false because it is not the way you are. “Wouldn’t you like to see your hair color like this?”
A glittering generality is a general statement that is exaggerated. If you do not pay atention to details, you will believe the statement. “Brand X contains greater pain fighters than Brand Y.”
Humor appeal is the use of a slogan,jingle, or cartoon to catch your attention. “Grow muscle with Hustle the muscle strength medicine.”
Just plain folks appeal tells you that there are no surprises or gimmicks because this product is for the common person. “Just ask for Loe”
When progress appeal is used, you are told that an old product has become much better than before. Sometimes just the package has changed. “Now 20 percent more effective”
In reward appeal you are told that if you buy one product or service you get something else. You may get coupons or stamps as a free enclosure. ” Free sticker in each box of Sweet Cinnamon Tiger Cereal”
When scientific evidence appeal is used, you are given the results of surveys or laboratory tests to give you confidence in your purchase. “A noted researcher claims our product prevents aging.”
An ad using snob appeal tells you that you deserve the best. By buying the best, you are better than others.”You’ll be the talk of the neighbornhood in our robot shoes.”
Testimony appeal is an appeal by a well-known person who say a product is the best one for you. “I use Snow Suds because it makes my wash whiter.”
